GOUT

Gout is caused by the buildup of uric acid crystals in the joints of the body, causing pain, swelling and inflammation. Symptoms usually begin in the joint of the first toe, which becomes intensely painful to touch or move. Attacks develop quickly, and typically occur in only one joint of the body at a time.

HEADACHES

Characterized by intense throbbing or pounding pain, migraine attacks usually last between one and four days. Patients may also suffer from extreme sensitivity to light, nausea, speech difficulty, and weakness or tingling in the arms and the legs.

INFERTILITY

Premenstrual syndrome,  characterized by physical, emotional and psychological changes that coincide with the hormonal changes of the menstrual cycle. TENDINITIS

Tendinitis is the painful inflammation of a tendon, the thick, fibrous cord that attaches muscles to bone.  Symptoms include pain and stiffness aggravated by movement, and restrained motion. The most commonly affected areas include the shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee and ankle. Acute tendinitis may become chronic if not treated.

TMJ DYSFUNCTION

This widespread affliction is a leading cause of chronic headaches and facial pain. Problems arising in this area because of arthritis, dislocations, fractures, or tension-relieving habits such as jaw clenching or teeth grinding, can result in TMJ. Symptoms include headaches, clicking sounds while chewing or opening the mouth, tenderness and pain in the jaw area, difficulty with biting or chewing, and a decreased ability to open and close the mouth.
