Happy New Year 2021!
Posted on Dec 31, 2020
Welcome, 2021. I feel everyone on this planet is so happy to say good-bye to 2020, one of the most difficult and challenging years we have lived through. 2021 feels hopeful, upward moving and the start of a good period with positive changes. I always remind myself that when I experience any rockiness in life, I am better prepared to recognize and appreciate the smoother path.
According to western astrology, 2021 is the first year of the Age of Aquarius. Aquarius is an air sign which also fits within the Chinese five element theory, where air aligns with metal. Air signs are all about action, ideas, and motion—they are the “winds of change.” When a strong gust hits you, you can’t help but move. Air signs bring everyone a breath of fresh air when things start to get stale.
Aquarius rules innovation, invention, technology, and community. This air sign is known for being progressive, idealistic, intelligent, and highly creative. This new year is a great time to learn new skills, sing, dance, play, cook, create, read, write, or learn a new language. We can meditate to access the seat of our intuition, so we can find wonderful ways to grow our lives.
On a body level and for better health during this transit, it will be important to pay extra attention to calves, lower legs, blood circulation, and nervous system. 2021 Aquarius is also associated with body contraction and rigidity. Circulation and coordination problems, cataracts, and fatigue are associated with this combination. Movement is extremely important this year and a good time to practice yoga, tai chi and stretching exercises.
So now it is time for the old to give way to the new and all things to move on. I hope everyone takes the opportunity to reflect on what worked and didn’t work during 2020. This is invaluable information to move forward on your path. And remember: eat a healthy diet, sleep well, exercise daily, laugh a lot and find joy in every day.
I look forward to seeing you in person again very soon!
